A potent and selective β-secretase (BACE-1) inhibitor (IC50 = 20 nM for recombinant hBACE1). Does not inhibit other aspartyl proteases such as cathepsin D, pepsin, and renin. A potential agent to treat Alzheimer’s Disease.
